Rooney "proud" of breaking Man United goalscoring record
Rooney started his career at Everton before leaving his boyhood club for Manchester United for £26million in 2004.
The England skipper has gone on to become United's all-time leading scorer - with 250 goals in 549 appearances - but has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

And Walsh admits he would be keen on bringing Rooney back to Goodison Park, should the 31-year-old opt to leave Old Trafford.
Walsh signed Morgan Schneidlerin from United in January for £24m and could raid United again when the transfer window reopens.
"Rooney is one of the greatest players ever to play in England," Walsh told Sky Sports. "For us not to be interested in him it would be wrong.
