Both Rashford and Martial responded to public criticism from Jose Mourinho by scoring vital goals in wins over Anderlecht in the Europa League and Burnley in the Premier League respectively.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic out injured, they are likely to see more minutes from now until the end of the season as United's only other recognised strikers.
Mourinho has only opted to start Martial and Rashford in the same starting line-up in three league games this season.

And United legend Gary Neville believes the pair wouldn't work well together in a partnership.

Mourinho could be tempted to start both Rashford and Martial against Manchester City tomorrow night in a crucial derby match though.
United cannot afford any slip-ups in the league if they are to climb into the top four.
