Klopp: Liverpool stopped playing football and let Sevilla fight
Liverpool looked to be home and dry when they raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to a double from Roberto Firmino and a strike from Sadio Mane inside the first half an hour of the game.
But Sevilla fought back in the second-half and replied with goals from Ben Yedder and a stoppage time effort from Guido Pizarro to secure an unlikely point.
The Reds’ defence has come under withering criticism this term, as they have been very leaky.
But Klopp thinks things would have been different at Anfield.

They did, they fought back, and as I said, we let them come back in the game and that is our main mistake

“If this is at Anfield and we are 3-0 up it is different, but because it was here they had to show character in the second half,” Klopp said.
“They did, they fought back, and as I said, we let them come back in the game and that is our main mistake.”
Liverpool have conceded 28 goals in 20 matches in all competitions this term.

The draw means Liverpool need to beat Spartak Moscow to ensure they qualify for the knockout stages.
At present, they are top of Group E, one point ahead of Sevilla.
Up next for Liverpool is a home showdown with Chelsea on Saturday (5.30pm).
