Marcus Rashford did too many flicks against Bristol City, says Paul Ince
“He’s a fantastically talented player – but right then, against Bristol who really wanted the win, wasn’t the time.
“He should’ve been focused on doing absolutely anything he could to help the team, rather than showboating.
“To me, it looked as though the home side and their players just wanted it more.
“The United lads seemed as though they’d checked out, or as though they weren’t interested. And to me that’s just completely disrespectful.
“It’s still a trophy – it’s still silverware which is the most important thing in football. Not to mention the fact that they are the holders of it.”
United supporters called for Jose Mourinho’s head after the game but Ince has mocked those words as “ludicrous”.

He added: “The inevitable reaction to the loss was, of course, for fans to completely overreact and suggest that Mourinho is taking the club in the wrong direction. I mean, come on. Wake up.
“Personally, I believe it’s United fans lashing out because they can see how far ahead Man City are compared to them. But really, this is their best start to a season since Sir Alex Ferguson left.
“They need to get a bit of perspective - no disrespect to him, but when you compare them now to when Louis van Gaal was there, it’s streets ahead. He’s now been linked with the Swansea job – doesn’t that say it all?
“They’re second in the Premier League, they’re still in the Champions League and should advance to the next stage, and they’ve got the FA Cup. There are far worse positions to be in, but the fact is, it wouldn’t seem so bad if City weren’t so good.”
