Aston Villa are odds-on favourites to sign Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban
The Championship promotion hopefuls have held talks with the Cherries over a loan deal for Grabban, 30, who returned from a loan spell with Sunderland earlier this month.
Bournemouth hope to flog him on a permanent deal to raise some funds and SkyBet price a move to Villa Park at 4/7.
Villa assistant boss Colin Calderwood hinted a couple of new players could arrive before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
“I am sure there will be phone calls,” he said.
“I am sure there are one or two things in the pipeline.
Cardiff City have also held talks over a move for Grabban and they are second-favourites at 11/8.
The Bluebirds are also in for Bolton Wanderers striker Gary Madine and have reportedly had a £6million bid accepted.
SkyBet think Grabban will not be a Bournemouth player by the end of the transfer window.
