Taylor Fritz has arrived in Vancouver for the Laver Cup kitted out for action. But America's top-ranked male tennis star has already shown that he has a nose for fashion this month. The 25-year-old enjoyed the joint-deepest Grand Slam run of his career to date when he reached the quarterfinals of the before losing to eventual champion . But the world No. 8's work in the Big Apple did not end at Flushing Meadows.

That's because Fritz swapped the hard courts for the runway last week when he turned his hand to modelling at New York City Fashion Week.

The US star looked right at home, showing off Hermès Men’s Winter 2023 Collection last Thursday in a show titled “Walking on Air" that took place beneath the Skylight at the Refinery in New York City.

"Unreal experience walking for @hermes Men’s Winter 23 collection in New York last night," wrote Fritz on Instagram, accompanied with a photo of himself sporting a winter jacket.

But attention has quickly turned back to tennis, with Fritz part of the Team World squad that will look to defend its Laver Cup title against Team Europe in Vancouver this weekend.

On his arrival in Canada, Fritz was asked what impact his runway antics could have on his teammates.

"Do you think that the other members of Team World are going to be intimidated by being on a team with an international runway model?" he was quizzed.

An embarrassed Fritz replied: "I don't know how I can answer. I feel like I might get made fun of, to be honest, but we'll see.

"I think last year I gave Frances a lot of s*** for doing the whole Fashion Week thing and I think I'm going to get it back in return this year."
