WWE fuel Shawn Michaels return speculation ahead of Undertaker vs Triple H showdown

The Undertaker will face Triple H for the last time ever on October 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

Undertaker will have his legendary tag team partner Kane by his side at ringside whereas Shawn Michaels will be backing his storied DX associate Triple H Down Under.

Rumours suggest this historic match will set up Michaels’ in-ring return eight years after announcing his retirement.

The Heartbreak Kid may reform DX with The Game to face The Brothers of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel on November 2 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Saudi Arabia.

WWE added fuel to the speculation when they shared a picture of the two legendary teams on Instagram and asked the fans to predict who would win a potential dream match.

HBK retired in 2010 after losing to The Phenom for the second year in a row at WrestleMania and has since insisted he will not come back for another match.

However, he recently had a heated confrontation with Undertaker on RAW where he insisted he has stayed retired out of respect to his legendary foe.

But the seven-time world champion didn’t believe him and goaded him on as he claimed he doesn’t want to face him again because he is too scared.

Undertaker said: “Respect? Is that what you’re saying? Is it respect or is it fear?

“Because if you had ever chosen to come out of retirement there would’ve been only one person that you’d come for. Me.

“And make no mistake about it, I would put you down all over again.

“You know it, I know it, they know it, and there’s one other thing you know. In Melbourne, Australia I’m gonna put your buddy Triple H down again.”

Rumours suggest Michaels and Undertaker may have one more one-on-one match against each other at Survivor Series.

The legendary Pay-Per-View takes place on November 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Michaels though has repeatedly stated that he is not keen to return to the ring for one more match any time soon.
