Princess Kate announces she is being treated for cancer

The 's latest move was a "clear" sign that and would not be coming back to the UK, a royal commentator has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made headlines last Monday, March 18, after and replaced with a joint section placed at the bottom of the "Members of the Royal Family" tab.

The news came just days before with an emotional video released on Friday - which was filmed on Wednesday in Windsor.

Now a commentator has come out and said that the decision to "downgrade" Harry and Meghan was "not a coincidence" but rather in line with Princess Kate announcing the devastating news.

GB News presenter, Andrew Pierce, said: "It is not a coincidence because the Princess of Wales filmed that video on Wednesday and that announcement about them being downgraded was on Thursday. So it all happened at the same time. They've just made it clear in case people think Harry and Meghan can come back. No, it's not happening. There's no chance of it happening because they are not working members of the Royal Family anymore. They've made their decision and that's it."

BBC reporter who faced backlash for Princess Kate conspiracies turns account private

A BBC reporter who fueled conspiracy theories about Princess Kate's whereabouts has turned her account private following a tirade of criticism. Sonja McLaughlan - a sports journalist at the BBC - made a number of claims about the Princess of Wales as fans speculated as to her whereabouts before her cancer announcement.

In one post on social media platform X, Ms McLaughlan echoed conspiracy theories that the person Prince William had been spotted shopping with at a Windsor shop was not Kate. In a now-deleted post, she even claimed it could have been a body double, while the Prince of Wales could have been an actor.

Ms McLaughlan has since turned her social media private following harsh backlash after Kate's shock cancer announcement last Friday. The Princess of Wales made an address to the nation where she revealed she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy for an unspecified form of cancer.

Before Kate's unveiling, the reporter wrote: "Disturbing that newspapers like The Times are reporting this as fact. Headline 'Kate seen in public for the first time' when it's clearly not her. As someone has said. Could be a couple of lookalikes making mischief."

The expert told Express.co.uk: "King Charles, who is continuing essential duties but unable to attend public engagements whilst undergoing treatment for cancer, has ensured that he has been seen as often as possible.
